Garden Tool Organizer
It's really frustrating when you go into your garage and your garden tools are spread out
all over the place, then you go to get a shovel and then you step on a hoe or rake and it comes up and slaps you in
the face. I don't know if you've ever had that happen to you or not but I have and it hurts. This really proves the
point that it is a good idea to keep all of your garden tools organized, and a really good way to do this is
with a garden tool organizer.
There are quite a few different makes and models of garden tool organizers on the market
and it probably doesn't really matter which one you get as long as it has enough holes and slots for all the tools
that you own. After all the whole point of buying one is so that you can put all your tools into it and you don't
want to cut yourself short on space.
One of the things that you want to look for when searching for a good organizer is
stability. I noticed that a lot of the makes and models out there didn't look like they would hold up under any
real tool use. So if you have any heavy shovels or any nice steel rake that have some weight to them, then you want
to make sure that you get one that is going to hold up.
Probably the best tool organizer that I saw was one that was at acheaper price than many
of the other ones on the market. It is a unit on Amazon.com called the garden tool organizer. It is made of steel
which you do have to assemble, but it doesn't have a bottom on it so that the handle of you tools
actually rests on the concrete. This gives the organizer a lot more stability in that it is not supporting the
weight of all the tools within itself, it is just holding the items up. It is a fairly compact unit at 20 9/2 " X
13.5" x 27" which is just right in that it doesn't take up a lot of space.
It also has a nice handle on the side that allows you to coil up all of your extension
cords on it. This is a nice addition as cords can really clutter up an area.
There are some other garden tool organizers on Amazon as well but most of them are made
out of plastic. They are also higher priced than the little metal one is and I imagine just from my experience
with plastic things they wouldn't hold up near as well. Although, there is a pretty nice corner storage
rack that looks really sturdy. It only sells for $25 and is a little larger than what you might think.
There are many good reviews on it though one person complained that after using it for several years it started to
sag a bit. This is normal when you're dealing with plastic items as nothing is made to last forever anymore. For
the price though after a couple years you can afford to get a new one.
